Little Houses Improvement Scheme

Art direction and graphic design for the interpretation of Halligarth, 'The Home of a Naturalist' in Unst, Shetland. This included: brochure, leaflet, signage and interpretive design.

The Halligarth project celebrates Shetland’s natural heritage through the repair and sensitive adaptation of Halligarth into a visitor attraction. Halligarth was built in the 1830s, by the prominent amateur naturalist Dr Laurence Edmondston. The woodland next to the house is the most northerly wood in the UK and was planted in the 1840s, to attract wildlife for study. Halligarth will be the focus for natural heritage interpretation on Unst, becoming a hub for sites of national and international significance across the island.
